As I Look Upon This Rock (In Red Rocks Colorado)

As I look upon this mountain
This solid rock
I am in utter amazement
Of the mighty works from God the Father
Who created all of this
My City Girl mentality would hinder me
From ever imagining such greatness
Had I not viewed it for myself

Looking literally into the hills from whence cometh my help
My help cometh from the Lord!
As I look upon this mountain
I see it as my life
New levels, smooth but rocky

In appearance, it seems easy to climb
But the reality is that looks can be deceiving...
I lay my eyes upon this rock
And know that it will take me
A lifetime's journey to reach the top

To My Family With Love

9/3/15 - by William Kennedy

The love of the family can show the work of God
To prevail over our weakest of moments
To lend a hand or mend a broken heart
To cry or laugh with one another shall always be
Embraced with open arms and a smiling face.
Times they are tough, but alone you will never be
To have the love of this family
It's as easy as One, Two, Three
The joy of a birth, to watch a little life grow
Are memories to cherish that we will never let go
The pain of a death, the emptiness felt inside,
The family is all here, no need to hide
To be so lucky to have a family like this
When we all get to Heaven, God deserves a big kiss
In our souls, minds and hearts
May this family be torn apart
The Love of this family has shown me the work of God
To realize this gift for the world to see, how much my family cares for me
May our love grow and carry on even long after we are all gone
Thank you to my family for the love that you all show
Every good deed God will surely know

William Kennedy lives in Greensboro, SC and is a Mighty Man of God who has strong beliefs in the Biblical foundation of Family.

July 2005 - by Rachelle N. Milner

as the rain subsides
tiny raindrops dance upon the earth
comforting, soothing rhythms against my eardrum
I witness an embrace - healing virtue flowing, flowing
flowing from one heart to the next
I can feel the love
respect is in the air
I am pressing to receive
to have all of those things
that have been promised
God's love and virtuosity
His gift of blood
shed on Calvary
flowing, flowing
entering into the depths of my conscience
the rain forms rhythms
that dance to an asymmetrical beat
against my soul
Thank you for the LUV!

10/27/05 - by Rachelle N. Milner
This poem was one of many that helped me in the healing process of my mother's passing in 2005.  God opened the door of a gift that I always had mightily in helping me through that experience.  I was going to visit my mother's sister in Arizona.  I felt the  need to be close to her, but really didn't really understand why.  God planted a seed and laid a foundation for a relationship that was much needed and very beneficial to me until this day.  I love you dearly Carol Watson.

On the plane
Anticipating my journey
People cross paths
New light, new relationships, new beginnings
Always watching my back - just let go
Wanna get my motivation back
Go....where did it go?
My fulfillment of purpose is bigger
than this phase

How can there be snow on top of a mountain
and sunny down below?
Because He made it that way!
dealing with stuff - my stuff
Familial stuff
Caring, loving, wondering where to go?
How can we progress?
Anticipating more than the next 10 days
So much is dependent
Can I find it here.....in Arizona?

What is the reality, realistic
Realistically in my life -
of my view, my logic, my world?
Seeking through this trip
to reap the benefits
of being away....
Fun
Respite
Relaxation
New experiences
Anticipating
what He will reveal - speak and show
Anticipating life
Anticipating me!
